Start Something Good webinars
If you have ideas that will benefit your community or want to start a business with values at the heart of it, our one-hour webinars help you develop the building blocks of a social enterprise start-up.
Whatever the social impact you are looking to create, if you have a vision for change as we head into the new normal, this webinar will be the perfect way to get your idea off the ground.
A hackathon is a one-day event to come up with creative ideas, solve problems, and find sustainable solutions to social issues. Hackathons bring people together to come up with creative ideas, solve problems, and find some sustainable solutions to social issues on the doorstep.
You don’t need to have any experience of business or social enterprise, just a passion to make a difference and the drive to work with others to start a new project from scratch.
Over the day you will learn the basics of setting up a social enterprise, including idea generation, market testing, working with different groups and how to create impact for local communities. You will have the chance to network with and learn from a variety of mentors with experience of setting up their own social enterprises.
The day culminates with a final pitch event to a judging panel, where teams will have the opportunity to pitch for business support for their idea.
Anyone who can bring creativity, innovation and energy to the table can join a hackathon. We’ve run them for student groups and local communities.

The event is totally free! We will start the day with breakfast, and feed you lunch and dinner too. And there will be unlimited coffee throughout the day.
We run hackathons across Wales all the time, both online and as live events.
Our social entrepreneurship events are part of the Social Business Wales programme which is funded by the European Regional Development Fund through Welsh Government and delivered by the Wales Co-operative Centre.
