During the current Coronavirus pandemic, the Centre will seek to continue to deliver its programme of work to the best of its ability. This is requiring us to think differently about how we do things. We are urgently looking at developing new programmes of work to help our clients during this period. This will include new resources to help people assist their family, friends and neighbours who are not online. It will also include extra support to social businesses to help them stay afloat.

The world is a worrying place at the moment. The Covid-19 pandemic means that people are facing a time of unprecedented uncertainty. As well as thinking about the health of their families and colleagues, they are also considering how best to support their local communities and user groups (many of whom are vulnerable), and think about how their organisation might fare if the economy suffers or staff become ill.
Social Business Wales and its team of expert advisors are on hand to provide help with enquiries about cash flow, HR, digital platforms, marketing and communications and a range of other areas which might need re-thinking in light of the Coronavirus. We can provide advice via telephone or through video conferencing – just phone us on 0300 111 5050 or email email@example.com if you need our support. Events are moving very fast, we are working as a team to develop specific tools that will be accessible in the coming days and weeks on http://businesswales.gov.wales/socialbusinesswales
Our digital inclusion advisors working on the Digital Communities Wales: Digital Confidence, Health and Well-being programme can signpost people to resources which will help people to socialise online, shop online and use video calling technology if they need to self-isolate due to Covid-19.
